snowdrops

Windows go into summerhouse

Windows are now on site and being installed, they have been made by Smith Brothers of Worcester.
 
Roof goes on summerhouse

Work continues on the repaire of the summerhouse, the roof is now on and next week we hope to have the new windows in place.
 
New shop

The house now has a National Trust shop in the old baking room in the basement, gifts, sweets, ice cream, hot and cold drinks are now available.
 
Repairs to Summer House

The National Trust are repairing the summer house that sits beside the lake, the works will take a couple of months and next year we hope to be able to hire the summer house for use as a picnic venue.

Tulip tree

When Bob Parsons started the work of recovering the abandoned garden at Newark in 1970, he planted a Tulip tree, this year for the first time it has flowered.

The National Trust have converted part of the house into a self contained holiday apartment sleeping six , called the Clutterbuck Apartment.
