     Haunting At Newark Park
     ............................................................................................................................................................................

Newark has a long tradition of being haunted, it is said that when Sir Nicholas Poyntz demolished Kingswood Abbey and used the stone to build his New Work the spirits of some of the monks came with the stones.
I certainly hear things that are sometimes hard to explain but have never seen anything. In the years that Bob Parsons lived alone at Newark when the house was still semi-derelict he certainly encountered many things that he could not explain.
I like to think that as the years have gone by and the house has come back to life the restless spirits that inhabit the house have become less active. Whatever it is at Newark it has always been benign and not malevolent!
